photographer/Videographer
I grew up in the midwest of the U.S. As a child I was fascinated with dinosaurs, pro wrestling and cookies but, by my teenage years my focus shifted to girls, pro wrestling and cookies.
I had more success as an athlete than a student and signed a full football scholarship to Missouri State University where my career started slowly, then tapered off, resulting in career statistics totaling 1 tackle, one fumble recovery and multiple knee surgeries
Upon graduating from college (a surprise in itself) I taught history and served as the high school head coach of three sports for many years. The career was great but absorbed more of my bandwidth than I had to give. Eventually, the grind had me dreaming of entire weekends spent on the couch so I decided to leave the profession early.
Over the next few years, I wrote several books (that received good reviews (but not Hollywood's attention...) and took to the stage as a keynote speaker at conventions and events, along with speaking in schools as part of a suicide prevention campaign.
As I traveled, I often volunteered at animal sanctuaries in the U.S. and abroad. My knees were licked to oblivion by dogs in Thailand, I've scooped the poop of young Moose orphans in Alaska, enjoyed the shenanigans of baby elephants and been outwitted by cats at nearly every stop. I won't go into the details of the "donkey flatulence" incident in Peru but I hold no grudge.
I admire the people operating rescues and sanctuaries and feel for the stray animals or those who come from rotten homes. My photography sales will help these facilities meet their revenue goals by donating a percentage of the net proceeds of photographs in the hopes that all involved, four-legged or two, have a better life ahead.
If you would like to join my email list, please know that I would rather eat a hair in my food than bore my readers (that's not true). I will bring you insights into how we all can live a better life by keeping you updated on news from around the world regarding ways to live, invest, vacation, and maximize the time we have to do so.
